In the din of a penguin colony, a mama penguin can recognize her baby’s call from among thousand others. Every tracker knows to never come between a female bear and her cubs.

We care for our kids, are okay with overfeeding them, while a block away many may be sleeping hungry. All this is instinctive and feels right.

As a wise and considerate human, it’ll help us to expand the beneficiaries of these instincts, to include those who aren’t biologically related to us.

The more you feel connected to the distant others, the greater your compassion. The greater your compassion, the deeper your connection to others. This puts you in the upward spiral of life.

The vast majority of us, living in this upward spiral, is our hope for building a better world for our planet’s children.
